It’s stretching credulity that Sturgeon didn’t know what Pete was up to. Where did she think the £5,000 watch she was wearing, the £2,000 pen she was writing with and the £350 Dyson hairdryer had come from? For a woman who was always about the detail it’s simply not credible that she didn’t know her ‘husband’ was at it.

The joke figure here of course is ‘Honest’ John Swinney. He appointed his best bud Murrell to the role of CEO, acted as consigliere to him and Sturgeon and expects us to believe the crap he’s now coming out with. If he had a shred of decency he’d resign, which is why he won’t.

The tone of your piece deftly walking along the fence between opinion and facts as known thus far.

The larger speculative question however is the timing of the case and plea. Credibility is political currency, so not having this case in public eye prior to the most recent election must have been an deliberate decision.

By whom and under whose guidance is the question I would like credible answers to please..
