Ed Miliband needs to learn from Sturgeon's mistakes
Demonising oil and gas, setting unrealistic targets and ignoring cost undermines faith in Net Zero
It is all looking horribly familiar. The new Labour government seems determined to repeat the errors of the SNP by allowing Just Stop Oil to effectively dictate energy policy. The former First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, who famously declared a Climate Emergency in 2020, succeeded only in undermining faith in Net Zero in a country whose voters were overwhelmingly committed to the transition from fossil fuels.
