Insulate Scotland? It’s all hot air

A couple of months ago, in an excess of environmental zeal, I looked into insulating my Edwardian top flat in Edinburgh.  How hard can it be, I thought?  We already had loft insulation and double-glazed windows.  Should be a piece of cake to lift it from a dismal D on the EPC shame rating to a climate-saving C.   As if.
