“That’s me in the corner…”
I lost my religion some time ago and now Scots seem to have lost their faith in independence
I was on Question Time from Dundee. Click the link below. It was the first time I can remember when the Scottish Question wasn’t an issue on BBCQT. There was nothing directly on the constitution at all. Changed days.
I’m assured that the BBC don’t manipulate the questions and that this reflects the concerns of the Dundonian audience. These were, in order of appearance: Starmer Freebies, war in the Middle East, drugs, winter fuel payments, energy and the North Sea shut down.
I thought the programme spent far too much time on gifts and not enough on Israel v Iran. But Starmer’s decision to pay back £6,000 of Taylor Swift tickets, frocks and stuff clearly seems to have angered people all over again. The way things are going Labour could do what none of us thought possible: revive the SNP’s chances of winning in 2026.
Not that this will do anything to progress the SNP’s defining issue. Independence seems to have vanished in the haze. Can it really have died the death? Looks very like it.

I think the idea that Scotland has given up on independence will be news to around 50% of Scots.
What appears to have been given up on is any attempt to provide any meaningful content on this site.
